George Davison was appointed as Co-Director of the Gold Standard Charitable Trust in March of 2023. George comes to the Trust from New York City where he served as the Head of School at the Grace Church School for 28 Years. He was Assistant Head for seven years before assuming the Headship. Before coming to Grace he was an administrator and teacher at two other independent schools in New York, Birch Wathen and St. David’s. George has a Master’s degree in the History of Education from Teachers College at Columbia University in New York and a Bachelor’s in in History from Yale University. George is a trustee of Bennington College in Vermont. He is on the New York Advisory Board of Common Sense Media. George has returned to London where he lived with his family from 1968-73 during which time, he attended Dulwich College. He is married to the Trust’s other Co-Director Judith Rivkin, and they have two adult children living in the US.
Judith joined the Gold Standard Charitable Trust, along with her husband George Davison, in March 2023. She most recently served as Executive Director of Christodora, Inc., a nonprofit offering transformative “Nature, Learning & Leadership” opportunities to New York City youth through immersion in nature and environmental science. Previous leadership positions included the Times Square Alliance and Friends of Governors Island, and her corporate career included Morgan Stanley and Home Box Office. Ms. Rivkin holds a BA in History from Yale University and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from Columbia University.
Coral Martin joined Alpha Plus Group (now Inspired Education) in March 2021, managing the bursary applications and fundraising income for the Gold Standard Charitable Trust.
In previous roles, Coral has held leadership positions within the IT department of British Telecom and has worked in Schools Finance for 20 years: 7 years in a state all-girls school and 13 years in private sector, including a leading girls independent school and all the schools across the Inspired Education group.
Sibylle Brochard is the Development Executive with the Gold Standard Charitable Trust. Prior to joining the team, Sibylle worked with various access charities and programmes across Oxbridge. She has administrative and practical experience of the educational sector; some of her roles to date have been fundraising for Trinity Hall’s Alumni and Development, delivering Oxbridge residential courses to students from disadvantaged backgrounds, and organising membership and academic events. She has also worked as a humanities and admissions tutor across UK independent schools, and bears particular experience of SEND education.
